Buddy whatcha in for, how'd you get here
Little too much liquor, was it too much beer
I said, I'll tell you the story, I will not lie
'Bout how I got here, my DUI.
First there was a woman, some flirting and a spark
Then there was a kiss, few more after dark,
Before things got hotter, she sent me home in my car
Cop pulled me over, at the first radar.
"Son, have you been drinking?", I said, "not a drop"
"Been sippin' love's nectar, I didn't want to stop,
Looks like it overcame me, altered my state,
Probably shouldn't be driving, can't even think straight"
Yanked me out of my car, I had to chuckle,
Thinking about her again made my knees buckle,
"Son are you intoxicated?", answered "I guess!"
So you see I'm not guilty, but I did confess.
Judge asked am I sorry, do I have regret
About what I did, told him "you bet!"
If I could do it over I'd had a couple more!"
He threw me back in the drunk tank, that's what I'm in here for.
So that's my story, and here's my advice
If you're drinking and driving, you better think twice
But if a beautiful woman is making you feel high
And you get pulled over, you're better off to tell a lie.
